Your Local Chapter
The San Antonio Chapter of MISS Foundation was founded in September 2006 by Jennifer Soos and Nicole Visser. This chapter offers regular monthly support meetings and peer-to-peer support in person or by phone and email. Both mentors have experienced the death of a child through stillbirth and/or miscarriage and have also navigated worrisome subsequent pregnancies. Support resources are free of charge.
General Support meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 7-9 PM. Please see Monthly Meetings page for more details.
Subsequent Pregnancy Support meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month from 7-9 PM. Please see Monthly Meetings page for more details.
We understand that every individual will experience tragedy and its aftermath in his/her own unique way. Some people want to be in a group of compassionate individuals right away and, for others, it may be years before they are comfortable in a group setting, if ever. We strive to respect the individual comfort level of each family who reaches out for our support. We consider it an honor that you trust us enough to share your story and your child with us. So, please contact us in the way that feels comfortable for you. If you don’t feel ready for a group meeting, that’s OK – call or email us anyway. Our personal stories are on the Meet Us page and for more details on our meetings, see the Monthly Meetings page.

Certificate of Birth Resulting in Stillbirth
Texas is one of the many states offering a Birth Certificate for stillborn babies. This is not something families are able to obtain in every state and it can represent a very significant piece of healing in the midst of such a tragic experience. If you would like more information and the application form to request a Certificate of Birth Resulting in Stillbirth (CBRS) please contact us for assistance. Or you may download the application from the Texas Department of Health Services webpage. (It’s at the bottom of the first section, Form VS-301.)
