General Support: These meetings are open to all adult* family members and provide a safe place to honor the memory of your child. Our support meetings are not therapy. Therapy usually attempts to change the behavior of those who participate. Our meetings are very simply a safe place for families to come together, share their experience and not feel quite so alone…a place where no one will ever tell you “it’s time to get over it.” There is no requirement to talk or share your story until you are ready. We understand how helpful it can be to just listen to others – and everyone is welcome to do that as long as they need to.

Subsequent Pregnancy: This meeting is for parents who have grieved a child in the past and are in the process of braving another pregnancy – whether you are just about to start trying, already pregnant, getting ready to deliver or anything in between. We have separated this group from our general support meeting out of respect for newly-bereaved parents…as we all know, the last thing you really want to be around right after your child has died is a bunch of pregnant people! This meeting will focus on the concerns and issues facing those who are experiencing a pregnancy subsequent to loss and the roller coaster of emotions which accompany it. We want to help you navigate the scary parts and celebrate the happy parts. As with all of our meetings, fathers and adult* family members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

NOTE: MISS Foundation is not affilitated with any specific religious organization. We are grateful for the generous donation of meeting space provided by this particular church and accept it with the hope that our location will not deter a family in need. As always, MISS Foundation is open to families from any and all ethnic and religious backgrounds and seeks to honor the cultural and spiritual choices made by each individual family.

* No children under 13, please.
