Community Network

We are continually working to create a network of organizations in our community which support families when they need it most. Check back here for updates and additions to our local network.

The Children’s Bereavement Center

One of San Antonio’s best kept secrets. The Children’s Bereavement Center of South Texas exists to help children and families who have experienced a death of someone significant in their lives. Besides offering on-going support groups, the Center provides training, crisis intervention, counseling, peer support and consultation services. www.cbcst.org

Threads of Love

Provides handcrafted blankets and baby items to local hospitals for families who face the serious illness or death of their baby. MISS/SA is always collecting and donating blankets for this cause. We are delighted to partner with Threads of Love in their very tangible support of our local hospitals who go the extra mile to demonstrate compassion to our families in need. You may contact MISS orThreads of Lovedirectly. (We work with the Sarah chapter of TOL and partner with them on numerous initiatives.)

San Antonio Angel of Hope Foundation

A beautiful Angel of Hope statue is located on the University of the Incarnate Word campus – and all are welcome to visit. A candlelight vigil is held on December 6th each year in honor of our children. For more details about our Angel of Hope: www.saangelofhope.org

Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep

Offering gentle and beautiful photography services in a compassionate and sensitive manner is the heart of this organization. The soft, gentle heirloom photographs of these beautiful babies are an important part of the healing process. They allow families to honor and cherish their babies, and share the spirits of their lives. www.nilmdts.org
